Barney the Bat

Was king of Halloween 

Night was surrounded in a cloud of mist 

Air was cold and crisp 

A trial for witchcraft for Wilda the Wild 

Her long-crooked nose was green 

The mole on her nose looked mean 

Wilda’s raisin eyes flamed – glared BEWARE 

Witch was wearing a high black pointed hat 

With a voice to match 

Jurors were hung up on a pumpkin vine 

For Wilda – Barney went up to bat 

Barney the king swore Wilda was a good old witch 

Wilda the Witch’s case was dismissed 

She flew over the big glowing orange 

Halloween moon 

In her souped-up broom
