Two Newport homers in losing effort

MEDICAL LAKE – Newport softball was defeated by Medical Lake 14-5, Friday, April 26.

“We had a good game considering our pitcher and catcher were not our usual players at those positions because of injuries,” coach Steve Braun says.

Newport’s Bella Boyd hit a two-run home run over the fence. Genica Kreider also hit a solo home run.

Newport plays at Lakeside Wednesday, May 1 at 4 p.m. They will play a home game against Colville Friday, May 3 at 4 p.m.
