Free Christmas shopping for families in need

NEWPORT – The Family Crisis Network (FCN) is hosting a free Christmas shopping event for local families in need by offering a few extra toys Thursday, Dec. 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (or while toys last).

First come, first served. The event takes place at Parkside Church 1428 First St., in Newport. There will be stuffed animals, dolls, puzzles dinosaurs, mermaids and baseball sets.
