CUSICK — Cusick Panther baseball hasn’t been able to get a win in its first three games, losing 14-1 to Springdale March 18, and a doubleheader to Curlew March 29, 12-4, 16-6 March 29.
Cusick (0-3) next takes on Republic (0-2) in a doubleheader Saturday, April 5, with the first game starting at noon.
Newport baseball gets home shutout, loses on
road
NEWPORT — The Newport Grizzlies boys baseball team got a 5-0 league win against Northwest Christian Tuesday, March 25. A couple days later, The Grizzlies fell to Northwest Christian in a doubleheader 11-1 and 8-0.
Newport (1-2, 3-2) is home against Kettle Falls (1-0, 3-0) Thursday, April 3 for a doubleheader, with the first game starting at 2 p.m. and the second at 4 p.m.
Spartans split baseball doubleheader
ST. MARIES — The Priest River Spartans won the first game of a doubleheader Thrusday, March 27, getting an 8-6 win in the first game and losing the second 14-6.
Priest River is on spring break this week. They play at Riverside Saturday, April 5 at noon and take on Timberlake at home at home Tuesday, April 8, with the first game starting at 2 p.m.
Ranger baseball falls in doubleheader
NORTHPORT — The Selkirk Rangers baseball team had a tough time with Northport Saturday, March 29 in an away doubleheader. Republic won the first game 15-1 and the second 18-1.
Selkirk goes to Wellpinit Friday, April 4 for another doubleheader, with a 1 p.m. start for the first game.
