NEWPORT — Pend Oreille County Parks and Recreation is inviting the public to provide input as part of the update to the county’s Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Plan. An online public survey has been launched and Parks and Recreation want to hear from county residents.
The survey is designed to gather feedback on what residents value most about local parks and recreational opportunities and how Parks and Recreation can best meet the needs of our community.
This year’s survey includes a special section focused on Wolfred County Park, a new facility in Pend Oreille County. A feasibility study has already been completed for this park, and Parks and Recreation encourages all participants to review the study before providing feedback. The study offers important insights into the park’s potential development, including key features and amenities, and will help guide residents’ responses on what they want to see in this new space.

The survey will be open through mid-September and can be found here: www.pendoreille.gov/ parks-recreation.
“We want to ensure that Pend Oreille County’s parks and recreation services reflect the needs and interests of our residents,” said Mike Kirkwood, Parks and Recreation director. “By reviewing the feasibility study and sharing your input, residents can play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Wolfred County Park and our parks system as a whole.”
