Meter replacers visiting homes in south county this month
NEWPORT – Pend Oreille PUD has begun the next round of meter replacements as part of a system-wide effort to upgrade approximately 10,000 electric meters. Contract crews from National Metering Technical Services will continue work this month and next in the southern part of the county. Customers who still need their meters replaced should have received a postcard notification.
On the day of installation, a crew member will knock before starting any work. You don’t need to be home as long as we have safe, clear access to your meter. Most replacements take 10 minutes or less and include a brief service interruption. A door hanger will be left to confirm the meter was successfully replaced.
For more information, visit the PUD’s website or call 509-447-3137.
