Just like measles, cruel America is returning

Perhaps you are old enough to remember how cruelly some kids were bullied in school before wokeness became a thing. MAGA brings back the mistreatment of others by removing all the barriers put in place to protect the weak and vulnerable. Channel your inner-fascist as you support a Republican run government that neglects, harms and persecutes the poor, homeless and disabled citizens they say are stealing your tax dollars when using social welfare programs. The weak must go and the strong win is the Trump America. People are treated like condemned buildings in a real estate deal.

I expect an Executive Order from Trump removing handicapped parking spaces, wheelchair ramps and handicapped restrooms. None of those things existed when America was great. We called people cripples and retards without being corrected. LGBTQ+ were kept hidden in a closet. People with weird tattoos and piercings were found in a circus sideshow tent. Today one of them runs our DOD.

As children, my generation was taught by ignorant and fearful adults to be racist and bully the weak. That’s when America was great. Just like measles, the cruel America of my childhood is returning.

Trump Trending

Trump’s tariffs are working. The goal is to bring offshore companies to the US to make their products here. Foreign companies are promising B’s in US investment. Trump just solidified the first trade deal with the UK. Trump wants products ‘Made in America’ by American workers. Even the new pope was made in America. Trending.

I agree with K.C. Hunt (5/7/25). I don’t think the D’s have any answers or solutions. All they are doing is trying to stop Trump at whatever he is doing. They certainly don’t have any new ideas.

When Trump calls the MSM ‘the enemy of the people’, he is exactly right. Some are glued to the MSM and taking it as truth without researching themselves. The MSM has altered truth for at least eight years. They tell you in polls that Trump’s favorability is falling. They don’t tell you they only polled 30% conservatives. In balanced polls, he is gaining in popularity. Trumps win by 1.4%? The MSM made that up. Landslide.

Due process on deportations: 9/30/96, Clinton signed two Immigration Acts. Sec. 302 states ‘Upon detainment, illegals can be removed from the US without further hearing or review’. Judicial overreach.

It’s Ironic

It seems like almost everything he says is exactly opposite of what he does.

I will get inflation under control, I will get the price of food/ eggs down, I will end the war in Ukraine in a day, I don’t know anything about Project 2025.

I will protect Social Security and Medicare. I will Protect and Defend the Constitution.

I will appoint the best and most qualified Cabinet and Department Directors. His appointments are all either Billionaires or Fox News personalities who look good on TV but are way under qualified.

It goes on and on, and ironically, many of our Fellow Americans believe him. Weird!

Goodbye, Oscar the Grouch

It finally has happened! Your “God” wannabe Pope Trump wants PBS and NPR gone. The NPR doesn’t bow down to him and tells the truth about him. He is cutting funding and doesn’t want people to support these channels. I watch the shows and record them often to get ideas and really enjoy “America’s Test Kitchen” and “Cook’s Country.” These are the channels that brought us and our children Barney, Sesame Street, Elmo, and much more.

Trump wants you to buy his junk from his English Bibles, his gold shoes, ugly red hats and more crap. You can buy this, but don’t you dare support PBS or NPR.

When are his supporters going to realize this is a drooling, diaper- wearing old racist who wants to control the world.

Washington in crisis!

As expected, the Democratic- controlled Washington State legislature has passed the massive $78B budget with $9.3B in new taxes. It sits on Governor Ferguson’s desk. He still has time to do the right thing by wielding the power of his line-item veto, but I am betting he does nothing… Washington residents deserve to feel safe in their communities, but the statistics paint a troubling picture: Washington has the third-highest crime rate in the country, and according to a recent study, Washington ranks last among all states for safety Washington has had the lowest ratio of police officers to residents nationwide for 14 consecutive years Washington has one of the worst car theft rates in the country, ranking fourth nationwide for car thefts per capita Washington has the most burglaries per capita by far, more than double the national rate Washington ranks No. 1 in the nation for the state most impacted by retail theft Washington set a new record for violent crime in 2023, and homicide is up 96% since 2019 61% of violent crimes in Washington go unsolved Public safety should be a priority, yet liberal policies have failed to protect our families, businesses, and neighborhoods.

How good is your discernment?

Can you tell the difference between artificial and natural food? Artificial and natural smell? Do you know how your body processes these different substances?

Or what about the difference between artificially generated and genuine emotions? Do you know artificially generated emotions exist and where they come from? What do you know about the goals of such efforts?

Can you tell when you have been subject to propaganda? Or subliminal programming? Or do you prefer to imagine these techniques are only used on the opposite party?

Are you cautious and intentional when you engage with technology? Do you pay attention when you can’t let go, your eyes ache, mood changes or emotions get tweaked? What about your state of being after use?

How often do you realize when you have been triggered and work to find out why? Do you question yourself, your beliefs and assumptions? How often do you practice the humility that comes from recognizing maybe we don’t know as much as we think?

It has been said that we can’t learn wisdom, we can only encounter catalysts that help us uncover it within ourselves. We have the catalysts; may we be so wise.

Dirty tricks

“Trolls” post deliberately offensive or provocative messages online or behave similarly in real life. Messages are intended to provoke an emotional response or manipulate perceptions. Often trolls act as bullies, either for their own amusement or to harm others.

“Concern trolls” use one of the oldest tricks in the psyop playbook. Their disingenuous intent is to plant seeds of doubt disguised as “concern” or “keeping him/ her honest.” They often pose as supporters of a cause, expressing “concerns” that actually aim to undermine the group’s goals or to sow dissent. Concern trolls can be spotted by the tendency to ask questions they themselves never answer, and by deflecting questions addressed directly to them.

Lately, I have noticed “concern trolling” used in what I diagnose as propaganda pieces by the mainstream media in their ongoing efforts to undermine President Trump and his supporters. Because many supporters, over the years, have learned to become immune to propaganda tactics, President Trump’s popularity has nevertheless steadily increased. They simply ignore mainstream polls purporting to show massive “buyer’s remorse,” for example.

Since both left and right-leaning media deliver tailored narrative “spin” that people unwittingly perceive as “fact,” we effectively live in polarized parallel universes.

Congress doing their job is a good start

In a letter posted to the editor on 5/7 the writer asked why complaints are registered with no solutions are being offered. They also posited that the previous administration showed what didn’t work. I ask just how was the previous administration worse than the chaos we are experiencing now?

Did they fire thousands of government workers willy nilly with little thought to how it affects every day Americans? Did they appoint groveling sycophants unwilling to uphold the rule of law or obey their oaths of office? Did they allow a megalomaniac billionaire to run rampant through the government while enriching himself in the process? Did they do everything right?

No they didn’t, but they did one important thing the current administration isn’t doing and that is respecting the laws of the land. Now we have a “leader” who claims to be unclear on the oath of office he took. Who disobeys the law while enriching himself through the office he holds. Who seems intent on destroying every bulwark the Constitution put in place to protect us. What solutions would you propose to rectify the dilemma we are living due to Deranged Trump Syndrome? One would be to ask Congress to do their damned job and govern as adults by taking back the powers given them in the Constitution. That would be a good start.
