Fun Run for mental health awareness

Fun Run for mental health awareness

CUSICK – Around 300 people attended the sixth annual Kalispel Color Fun Run at the Kalispel Tribe of Indians Powwow grounds in Cusick May 15. Adults and kids alike ran, jogged or walked the course, getting doused in colored powder by volunteers in recognition of May being Mental Health Awareness Month.

“Today, we’re not just running for fun – we’re running for our minds, our hearts and each other,” says Stacey Allen, Administrative Project Coordinator for the Camas Health Center. “Every color you wear represents hope, strength and the power to speak up. Let’s break the stigma and run toward a brighter, healthier future, together.”
