Students from Selkirk School District worked hard on beautifying all three towns in North Pend Oreille County during Selkirk’s Better World Day Friday, May 2. Over 90 bags of litter were collected along the highway. The event was done in coordination with the Washington State Department of Transportation, the Pend Oreille Road Department and the Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Department, and Ione, Metaline and Metaline Falls.
