NEWPORT — The National Cancer Survivor Day Luncheon will be held Sunday, June 1 at the Hospitality House in Newport. The annual Luncheon welcomes all cancer survivors and a guest to celebrate and encourage them. The event is hosted by the Pend Oreille Valley Relay for Life Leadership Committee.

Newport — Dance to fitness with belly dancing on Tuesdays, 6–7:15 p.m. This class is for any age, fitness level, ability and shape. Each class is $15, but participants can get a card when they pay for four classes and get the fifth one for free.
Exploring watercolor with Sam Brooks is on the second and fourth Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each class is $20, but participants can get a card when they pay for four classes and get the fifth one for free.
Anna Taylor leads a class to help improve balance, posture and stability with basic steps from 10–11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17 for $10.
Kimekomi by Jenni Barry will be on from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 28 for $36. Kimekomi is the Japanese art that tucks fabric into a groove to make a picture. Tools, base and fabric are provided. Participants can bring favorite fabrics. Templates are available. Bring a snack or sack lunch, as this class happens during lunch time.
