‘Art saves lives’

Eleanor Okusko and Becky Anderson presented a $260 check to the Sadie Halstead Middle School arts program on behalf of the Order of the Eastern Star Zillah Chapter, Friday, May 30 in Newport. The Zillah Chapter collects about $200–300 of donations to the arts program from members each year and has raised over $1,000 in five years. “I believe art saves lives,” Anderson said after the presentation.
