Socks may be a basic necessity but to sock collectors it is a personality or characteristic of themselves.
Some may wonder “What makes socks valuable?” socks aren’t just something you wear on your feet or leave out on the floor to collect dust but instead to sock collectors socks are way more than that.
From the different kinds of socks to the history of sock collections, or even the plethora of types of sock collectors, and most importantly what makes different pairs of socks more precious than others.the different sock collectors could include sock collectors that collect more antique of costly socks for the sole purpose to usually display them.
Another type of sock collector is the type that chooses a specific kind of sock to collect for example food or sports teams.
Other sock collectors could include the “Pairs” sock collectors who collect socks like Ketchup and Mustard or Peanut Butter and Jelly.
Some personal favorite socks are Dippin Dots, Eggo Waffles, Sour Patch Kids, Moon Pie, and Lay’s Barbecue Potato Chips. I received my first pair of socks in 2022 as a present and I started considering myself a sock collector last year when I had about 10 pairs.
I know some sock collectors who are of character or food sock collectors. There are also rare socks that not many have or have been discontinued.
I always try to find new socks for my collection, when looking I look for good ankle support, correct sizing and good stitching. I have over 90 pairs of socks and store them in various ways including wooden boxes and drawers. I find it to not be a hobby but instead a passion.
