EDITOR’S NOTE: The police reports, taken from dispatch logs provided to The Miner by law enforcement agencies, are not intended to be an exact report, but rather a comprehensive list of police calls in Pend Oreille and West Bonner counties. Dispatch also fields calls for the Kalispel Tribe’s property in Airway Heights.
Certain police calls are generally omitted because of space constraints. These include, but aren’t limited to ambulance calls for illness, unfounded alarms, traffic stops, dogs at large, abandoned vehicles, 911 hang–ups and civil standbys.
All dispositions for the police reports are assumed to be active, assists or transfers at press time.

NOISE COMPLAINT: LeClerc Rd. N., report that complainant believed there was a high frequency noise going off.
PROWLER: Gray Rd., Newport, report of complainant hearing things next to garage.
TRESPASSING: Camp Spalding Rd., Newport, report that subjects had campfire and were trespassing on camp property.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON:
Houghton St., Ione, report that subject had been standing behind church for over an hour, not moving.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: LeClerc Rd. N., Newport, report that lock on gate was cut and removed.
FIRE: Box Canyon Dam, Ione, report that caller could see some smoke coming from woods about 200 yards south of dam entrance.
CIVIL: Jorgens Rd., Newport, report that caller was doing some work for a lady, she ended up telling him she wanted him gone and he needed to move his stuff by last night.
THREATENING: W. Kelly Dr., Newport, report that caller received threatening text messages.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:
Jorgens Rd., Newport, report that caller saw suspicious truck pulling into driveway about one hour ago, thought they dropped someone off then left shortly after; her dog was barking at property line.
FIRE: Sullivan Lake Rd., Ione, report that structure fire from yesterday was smoldering.
TRESPASSING: S. Newport Ave., Newport, report that caller was out with four subjects on railroad tracks.

JUVENILE PROBLEM: Holly Rd., Deer Park, report that caller stated someone was in her house; could be her son who had broken in before and was possibly in daughters’ room and charging stuff on her card.

VIOLATION OF ORDER:
LeClerc Rd. S., Newport, report that respondent in order violated it last week by being on caller’s property.
CIVIL: LeClerc Rd. S., Newport, report that individuals kept throwing animal waste on caller’s property.
FISH & GAME: S. 7th Ave., Ione, report that bobcat came and killed a bunch of chickens about four days ago and this happened again that morning.
ASSAULT: Phay Rd., Elk, report of 13-year-old female assaulting staff.
AGENCY ASSIST: E. Deer Park Milan Rd., report of request Mobe Engine 31 to Station 46 for standby.
FIRE: W. Wisconsin Ave., Ione, report that subject may have caught corner of house on fire.

ANIMAL PROBLEM: Yergens Rd., Newport, report of pit bull on property again, caller had video.
WEAPON OFFENSE: Spring Hill Rd., Newport, report that neighbor was out shooting, bullets were coming by house.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Dads Lane & Camden Rd., Newport, report that truck came down private drive, was full of junk, subject ran to woods when caller saw him.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: Hwy. 2, report that caller heard explosion first, then saw some smoke; red truck in area took off.
FISH & GAME: Flowery Trail & Bartlette Rd., Usk, report of cougar depredation with hounds.
