Create hosting art classes, demos

NEWPORT - Summer is a busy time at Create.

On Saturday, June 28 Jenni Barry returns to offer a Kimekomi class from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $36. This is the Japanese art of tucking fabric into grooves to create a picture. Pre-registration is required, in person at 900 W 4th, one block from the middle school, or online, www.createarts. org The Coffee in the Garden program begins on July 10 for seven Thursdays throughout July and August, from 10 a.m. to noon. Weezil will be demonstrating wire art on this first day. At 12:30 he will teach a six-strand twisted copper bracelet for $25.
