‘Personal garbage’ found in Metaline Falls cans

METALINE FALLS — Metaline Falls has recently found a significant amount of personal trash in town garbage cans.

The affected cans are along Fifth Avenue in downtown Metaline Falls and in the dumpster at the Maintenance Building. Found recently were a broken baby stroller — which took some effort to remove from the container — and personal garbage bags filling almost all the trash receptacles in Busta Park and along Fifth Avenue.

If necessary, personal garbage will be searched for identification, and a citation will be issued. Metaline Falls is also considering a lock on its container — something has never been necessary before.
