IONE — Ione Down River Days, a series of events organized by the Selkirk Trailblazers Club, is returning this weekend from Friday, July 25 to Sunday, July 27.
Friday will include Crazy Co-Ed Softball at 6 p.m., Kid Zone Inflatables from noon to 5 p.m. and a 2-mile Kids Color Walk/Run at 6 p.m. on Central Street and Millyard Road. All participants in Crazy Co-Ed Softball must sign a liability release. Kid Zone Inflatables is free to all children up to 18 years old and sponsored by the Kalispel Tribe.
The same day, a beer garden and the Selkirk Trailblazers’ Down River Days t-shirt booth will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with vendors open all day at Ione City Park. A shuttle is running from 1 to 6 p.m. up and down the park hill.
Saturday will include even more events than Friday’s line-up, starting with a NPOV Lions Club Cowboy Breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. costing $10 per participant. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m., line-up for the parade at 9:30 a.m. Pre-sign-up is not required for the parade. Later is the Corn Hole Tournament from noon to 4 p.m. at the park, with check-in at 11:30 a.m. and pre-sign-up online at Scoreholio for $50 per team.
Like Friday, vendors and a beer garden will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., as well as American Legion hamburgers on the small pavilion from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will also be Kid Zone Inflatables from noon to 6 p.m. and NPOV Lions Club Pedal Cars.
Music will play all day at the park before Saturday ends with a Street Dance from 7 to 11 p.m. featuring DJ and karaoke host Riley Crabtree. A shuttle will run in the park from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday concludes this year’s Down River Days with more events. Another Cowboy Breakfast is from 7 to 10 a.m., overlapping with sign-up for the Snowmachine Watercross from 8 to 10 a.m. Racing for the Snowmachine Watercross is from 11 a.m. to about 4:30 p.m.
Like Friday and Saturday, American Legion hamburgers on the small pavilion will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., vendors and Kid Zone Inflatables from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and a beer garden from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will also be NPOV Lions Club Pedal Cars, as well as a shuttle from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
