Running on water

The State Line Outboard Racing Association hosted the annual hydroplane races in Oldtown, Saturday–Sunday, July 19–20. People lined the beach on towels and beach chairs to watch the action. In one photograph, David Geaudreau of Newport helps his daughter, Ashlynn, and her boyfriend, Graham, prepare for a race. The Geaudreaus have been hydroplane-racing for three generations.
