CHILD ABUSE: Scotia Rd. E.

& Hwy. 2, Newport, report of child abuse in U-Haul truck.

ARREST: S. Garden Ave., Newport, Brandi Dylinn Rose, 44, of Cusick was arrested for failure to comply.

TUESDAY, JULY 22

ARREST: S. Garden Ave., Newport, Jason Wesley Leal, 52, of Newport was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear.

ARREST: Moine Rd. & LeClerc Rd. S., Newport, Vitaliy Leonidovich Kozenya, 24, of Otis Orchards was arrested for first-degree driving with license suspended.

ILLEGAL BURNING: Hwy. 211, Newport, report that someone was burning slash pile.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 23

ILLEGAL BURNING: Elizabeth Ave., Ione, report that DNR and Forest Service were on at illegal burning and requested engine for assistance.

DRUGS: Hwy. 31, report of subjects stopped at border with 3.14 grams of ketamine.

THURSDAY, JULY 24

DECEASED PERSON: W. 1st St., Newport

BURGLARY: Fertile Valley Rd., Newport, report of shop broken into, items stolen.

DRUGS: Hwy. 31, report of subject with drugs at Port of Entry.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Community Hall Rd., Cusick, report from caller who stated female hit him in face.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Community Hall Rd., Cusick, report that boyfriend was yelling and being loud while children were sleeping.

DECEASED PERSON: McGowen Rd., Newport

COLLISION: S. 2nd Ave., Ione, report that subject fell off four-wheeler.

ANIMAL PROBLEM: Reflection Dr. N., Ione, report of vehicle versus baby elk.

NON-INJURY COLLISION: Hwy. 2 & Gray Rd., Newport, report of vehicle versus baby moose.

NOISE COMPLAINT: Houghton St., Ione, report of loud music and explosives going off in area.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: N. Spokane Ave., Newport, report of two large safes dumped in front of dumpster.

BOATING PROBLEM: Diamond Lake, report that someone was jet-skiing in swimming area.

FIRE: Blackberry Lane, Usk, report of brush fire.

MISSING PERSON: Bead Lake Ridge Rd., Newport, report of possible missing hikers.

JUVENILE PROBLEM: E. 5th Ave., Metaline Falls, report that children were fighting with their father and tried to stab him.

ARREST: Old Priest River Rd., Priest River, Kelli Baker, 38, of Newport was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. She was cited for driving under the influence of drugs and driving without privileges.
