‘A love for what God has created’
Name: Alicia Bell Age: 65 Town: Newport Artistic medium: Watercolor, drawing, oils, acrylic; mostly watercolor right now.
Question: Why do you make this type of art?
Answer: I must! It makes me happy!
Q: What does your artwork represent?
A: Hmm, a love of everything God has created. I tend to focus on nature, people, animals and the world outside. But anything that strikes me is fair game for my interpretation.
Q: What inspires you?
A: Beauty, love, hope, joy. Q: How do you make it?
A: It comes from within and observing the world around me.
Q: What does your art mean to you?
A: Well, that’s a bit harder, isn’t it? It’s my heart on a piece of paper, or canvas. Whenever anyone appreciates something, I made it makes me feel appreciated and understood I suppose. It’s amazing! Q: Do you have any exhibits/ shows coming up?
A: Right now, I have several pieces at Vessel (Gallery) here in Newport. I hope to see you there!
