Answer: I have been making art since I was seven years old. Making art is relaxing and rewarding.
Q: What does your artwork represent?
A: I am an illustrator, so my art tells a story.
When I was a technical illustrator, my drawings showed people how to repair jet engines and airplane lights.
Q: What inspires you?
A: When someone likes my art. That’s a good feeling.
Q: How do you make it? A: I work from photos.
I make Coast Guard art. The Coast Guard provides photos to work from.
Q: What does your art mean to you?
A: I don’t know how I would be without my art. Q: Do you have any exhibits/ shows coming up?
A: I have five Coast Guard paintings showing in New York City now at the Salmagundi Club. The CG art is exhibited at museums around the country and government offices and at State Departments overseas. I have 25 paintings in the permanent collection of Coast Guard Art Program traveling around the country now.
