Quarterly economic development meeting Aug. 27

USK – The next meeting of the Port of Pend Oreille’s Economic Development Advisory Commission will take place Wednesday, Aug. 27 at the Usk Community Hall, at 2442 Black Road. The meeting will be in person only.

Networking and coffee will start at 8 a.m. At 9 a.m. Laura Verity will make a presentation for Merkle Standard as the business focus. Jeramy Grimm of Whiskey Rock Planning and Consulting will give an education focus presentation on Pend Oreille County’s potential and pitfalls to avoid.

EDAC subgroups on grants and land use will provide updates and a .09 funding application from the Port of Pend Oreille will be discussed. Jessica Garza will then give a presentation on project updates. Lunch will be served at 11:30 p.m.
