Once in a blooming blue moonbeam Franny the Flamingo’s delta swamp Was torn wide apart By a violent warm storm Ragged leaf rugosa roses – sunlit summer Goldenrod and magical morning glory Twirled and swirled in the swift storm At dawn the rage was gone Broken and crushed leaves Were on the limbs of mossy battered trees Huge mosquitos were well pleased By eating live giant flies And beating their wings in the blowing breeze With whirling twirling troubled bubble bugs As moonbeams breached heaven Lights in the swamp Flickered magical green Fanny’s fluffed up puffed up pink feathers Now can be found on the scene -Elaine Magdalene Faires
