Kendra Persyn was pictured in last week’s front-page pickleball playing photo ‘Not getting by us.’ Her last name was misspelled.

In the Aug. 27 Salute to Firefighters, it was mistakenly printed that Pend Oreille County Fire District No. 4 includes the city of Newport in its coverage area. South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue is contracted with Newport.

Due to an error in the statement of probable cause, Randy I. Holter’s age was incorrect in last week’s story “Father suspected of killing son.” Holter is 69. He was reported to be younger.

We regret any confusion these may have caused.
