NEWPORT — Auditions for the November Christmas play “Merry Christmas Mr. Marconi” will be held from 6–8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 22–23 at the Newport American Lutheran Church.
“Merry Christmas Mr. Marconi,” written by Gail Cory-Betz, will be produced by Out of The Box Entertainment and directed by Donna Maki. This is a family- friendly play, and all ages are invited to audition. Auditioners will be asked to read from the script. Everyone will sing Christmas Carols, and some will have solos. If auditioners play violin or guitar, they may have an instrumental part. Starting Oct.13, rehearsals will be held from 6–8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the American Lutheran Church in Newport. Not all cast members will be required to attend every rehearsal. Performances will be Nov. 21, 22, 23 and 30.
