Newport Farmers Market moving into harvest season

There are about 25 venders each week at the Newport Farmers Market. With a background of live music, people can look at and buy everything from knives to plums.

As the harvest season approaches, more and more produce is showing up. The Farmers Market will continue through mid-October, with The Fall Festival set for Saturday, Oct. 3.

The Farmers Market is located at Union Avenue and Third Street in Newport and open on from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

Here is a look at some of what was happening Saturday, Sept. 6.
