Meet The Miner’s ‘Mittens’

Bennie the kitten loafing around the office of Michelle Nedved, Miner Newspapers owner and publisher Monday, Sept. 15 in Newport. Miner reporter Sophia Mattice-Aldous has been fostering Bennie and his sister June in our newsroom since late August, shortly after Priest River Animal Rescue took in the siblings around early August. Nedved and her family decided to adopt both kittens last week and are to bring them home as soon as they are spayed, neutered and vaccinated.
