Lady Grizzly soccer started the season against the Freeman Scotties losing 11-0, Thursday, Sept. 11 at Ellersick Field. Freeman didn’t waste any time, scoring the first goal in the first minute of the game. Freeman had 31 shots on goal to Newport’s five. Newport’s Emma Verity, shown here, had 11 saves, Emmalee Doughty had two and Freeman had three. Coming up, Newport hosts Priest River Thursday, Sept. 18, 4 p.m. at Ellersick Field.
