NEWPORT – Cusick’s Richard Sandwick won third place in the boys’ 5,000-meter varsity race at the NE 1B/2B League Meet in Newport Tuesday, Oct. 7. Sandwick clocked in at 18:58. Freshman Nick Sandwick came in 20th at 20:49. Classmate James Lilya had a time of 24:10 Coming up next, the Panthers travel to Valley Christian High School for the District 6 1B Championships Friday, Oct. 17.
