Age: 49 Occupation: Domestic Engineer and Photographer Prior elected experience: First-time candidate 1. What have you done that makes you the best candidate? I believe what makes me the best candidate is not political experience, but my deep connection to Metaline Falls and my record of service. I have lived here for over 22 years, raised my family and worked in our schools as a paraeducator. I’ve also coached youth sports and volunteered with programs that provide food and transportation for those in need. Through these roles, I’ve learned the importance of listening, supporting others and finding practical solutions. I bring honesty, hard work and the perspective of a neighbor who truly wants to see our town grow stronger and thrive.
2. Where do you see Metaline Falls in 10 years?
In 10 years, I envision Metaline Falls as a thriving, close-knit community that has preserved its unique small-town charm while also becoming stronger and more resilient. My vision is not about changing who we are, but about strengthening what already makes our town special. I envision a community where local businesses are supported and new ones can open their doors, one where visitors are drawn in not only by our beautiful surroundings but also by events, festivals and the unique history that makes Metaline Falls stand out. Tourism can help fuel our economy while preserving our identity.
I would like to see improvements in infrastructure: safe and well-maintained roads, reliable water and utility systems and public spaces that bring neighbors together. Our parks, trails and riverfront are some of our greatest assets, and I believe they can be enhanced for both residents and visitors to enjoy. I also see opportunities to invest in our youth through recreation programs, safe gathering spaces and activities that give them reasons to stay and build their futures here.

In 10 years, I hope Metaline Falls is a place where seniors feel supported, families feel secure raising children and neighbors continue to look out for one another. By listening to residents and working together, we can ensure that our hometown not only endures but thrives, keeping the heart of Metaline Falls alive for generations to come.
3. What would you like to see changed in Metaline Falls?
When I think about what I would like to see changed in Metaline Falls, I don’t imagine changing who we are as a community, because our small-town spirit and neighborly values are what make this place so special. Instead, I think about positive changes that would make life easier, stronger and more enjoyable for the people who live here.
One change I would like to see is continued improvement in our basic infrastructure. Safe, well-maintained roads, reliable utilities and a dependable water system are essential for residents, businesses and visitors alike. These are the kinds of changes that may not be flashy, but they make a real difference in people’s daily lives and in the long-term future of the town.
I would also like to see more opportunities for families and youth. That might mean improving our parks, supporting community events or creating safe spaces where young people can gather, learn and grow.
Economic growth is another area where change could be positive. Our town has unique assets: its history, its location and its natural beauty. By supporting small businesses, encouraging tourism through events and recreation and seeking grant opportunities, we can strengthen our economy without losing our small-town identity.
Overall, the changes I’d like to see are not about taking away what makes Metaline Falls special, but about adding to it. I envision a town where seniors feel supported, families feel secure, our youth have opportunities and businesses have the tools to thrive. Through teamwork, strategic planning and community spirit, we can create a stronger, more vibrant Metaline Falls for generations to come.
