CUSICK — The Cusick Senior High School volleyball team won only one game of four they had over the last two weeks.
Despite this, Cusick remains third in the Northeast 1B North league with six wins and five losses.
Tuesday, Oct. 14 Cusick visited Northport, where the Panthers lost in three sets 25-17, 25-13 and 25-6. They followed that loss with a win Thursday, Oct. 16 when Cusick hosted Columbia and won in three sets. However, Cusick lost twice that weekend on Saturday, Oct.
18. The first was in an away game against Republic, who won in three sets. And the second was in another away game against Curlew, who the Panthers took to five sets but ultimately lost 3-2.
Cusick also visited Selkirk Tuesday, Oct. 21 after The Miner’s weekly deadline.
The Panthers end their season Monday, Oct. 27 after three more games. Saturday, Oct. 25 Cusick hosts Inchelium at noon and Northport at 4 p.m., then hosts Selkirk again at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27.
