NEWPORT — The Newport Roxy Theater and Pend Oreille County Library District are hosting the Roxy’s free Halloween Movie Marathon from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. The first film, “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” starts at 12:20 p.m. “Hotel Transylvania” is at 1 p.m., followed by the costume contest at 2:31 p.m., including a 30-minute intermission. Prizes will be given for the funniest, spookiest and most creative costumes. “Hocus Pocus” starts at 3:01 p.m. and the final movie will be “Casper” at 4:52 p.m. Doors open at noon, and admission is free. The Roxy is at 120 S. Washington Ave.
