METALINE FALLS — The Cutter Theatre is selling raffle tickets for a detailed, 3-foot-tall carving of the legendary Bigfoot.
The tickets are $5 each, with the drawing occurring during the June 2026 Bigfoot Festival in Metaline Falls.
This piece came to the Cutter Theatre from Bear Paw Carvings in Cusick but was carved elsewhere.
Bridge replacement meeting this Thursday
PRIEST RIVER – There will be a public meeting about the Priest River Bridge replacement on Highway 2 Thursday, Nov. 6, 4-6 p.m., at the Priest River Event Center. It will be in an open house format, so people can stop by at their convenience to view displays, talk with the project team, and provide feedback.
Idaho Transportation Department planning and design teams are focused on evaluating replacement options. Public input will help shape the final design, construction phasing, and ultimately, a more precise cost estimate.

Parks and Rec public meeting Monday
NEWPORT – Pend Oreille County Parks and Recreation is holding a public hearing at 1 p.m. Nov. 10 on its Comprehensive Plan, of which the department is working on a five-year update. Meetings are held in the Board of County Commissioners’ meeting room, located at 625 W. 4th St., Newport.
Time to apply for tourism funding
NEWPORT – The Pend Oreille County Hotel/Motel Tax Advisory Board is accepting applications for funding for tourism promotion. Applications will be reviewed by the Tax Board with a recommended list submitted to the Pend Oreille County Commissioners for consideration. First round applications will be accepted until Thursday, Nov. 6 for the 2026 budget year. Another application period will open in the spring.
