OLDTOWN — A car crashed Monday, Nov. 10 into the Burger King in Oldtown, damaging the building and causing it to close temporarily.
The driver, Earnest Snodgrass, also sustained injuries in the crash as well as damage to his car, a gray 2007 Honda Ridgeline.
Around 12:37 p.m., Snodgrass was attempting to park his car when he accidentally pushed the accelerator, causing his car to collide into the side of the Burger King. Snodgrass’ front airbags deployed in the crash, which damaged his car’s front bumper and hood and disabled the vehicle, according to a Bonner County Sheriff’s Office incident report.
Snodgrass received small lacerations on the top of his right hand. He told Bonner County Emergency Services, which responded to the incident along with BCSO and the West Pend Oreille Fire District, that he would get a ride to the hospital shortly after he was evaluated.
