PRIEST LAKE — In celebration of the holiday season, the Priest Lake Memory Gardens is giving away free, pre-cut Christmas trees to the community.
Locals can select a tree in front of the parking lot at the Memory Gardens, now while they last.
The Memory Gardens is culling out some of its smaller trees, board member Bob Stutz said in a news release. He was one of those who worked to cut down trees for the giveaway.
“We realized the community could benefit from these smaller trees as Christmas trees in their homes,” Stutz said in the news release.
This is the third year the Priest Lake Memory Gardens has offered free Christmas trees to locals.
The Memory Gardens is on a 5-acre site off Highway 57 near the Priest Lake Golf Course.
Visitors are advised to watch for a sign and turn on Fairway Drive.
The Welcome Shelter is closed during the winter months, so the restroom is currently not available.
“While you are there, we hope you will take the time to walk through the Priest Lake Memory Gardens,” board president Brian Miller said in the news release.
