Who wants soup?

Brad Hanson dishes up a bowl of soup for a guest at the Hospitality House in Newport, where Hanson and his friend, Patti Monk, have organized a daily soup kitchen for anyone in need of a hot meal. The meal is free to anyone who is hungry.

Hours are 4–5 p.m. Monday–Sunday at 216 S. Washington Ave., Newport. To make donations of food or money or to volunteer, call 509-447-3812.
