Ode to Alice

There was an old Hippie Who had the privilege to know The SWEETEST librarian So very long, long ago We all called her Alice And she had a smile from ear to ear And a voice that makes me grin When I remember, listen and hear She encouraged my Jordy To read every book in the school Who now writes cards for Hallmark I bet Alice would think that cool This proves we make a difference By the things we do and say So be kind and considerate To the ones you meet day to day Dear Alice has gone to heaven And I hope and I pray That one day I’ll see her again And a BIG “Thank You” I’ll say RIP Alice Warner - Jenny Byrd
