PRIEST RIVER – Twelve Priest River Spartan football players received Central Idaho League All League honors, with Priest River Coach Alex Zepeda named Coach of the Year.
Junior running back Colton Kuprienko was named the league’s Most Valuable Player. Senior lineman Brady Hatten was named defensive Player of the Year. Niki Porinchock, a senior tight end, was named Lineman of the Year.
Braden Leach, a senior wide receiver and cornerback, made the All-League first team, as did senior quarterback Lucas Matthews, junior running back and linebacker Nate Fergert, sophomore wide receiver and linebacker Layton Goins and senior guard and defensive end Linden Rainwater.
Senior center Colton Braden, senior offensive tackle Tanner Hughes, junior safety and wide receiver Kane Berns and junior running back and safety Haiden Leach were all named to All League second team.
Third year head coach Alex Zepeda was named Central Idaho League Coach of the year, taking his team to the first league title since 1957, and to the state playoffs.
