Panthers open season with loss, win

CUSICK — The Cusick High School girls’ basketball team opened their season last week with one loss and one win.

Cusick went to Tekoa Rosalia Tuesday, Dec. 2, losing 46-26. Tekoa Rosalia took the lead 1913 in the first quarter and kept it to the end of the fourth.

Friday, Dec. 5, Cusick made up for the loss with a 42-29 win away against Springdale.

Cusick then hosted Valley Christian Tuesday, Dec. 9 after The Miner’s weekly deadline.

The Panthers have two more games this weekend, the first at home against Inchelium at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, and the second away against Northport at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. They end their week at home against the Selkirk Rangers at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16.
