Mules are smart – they start out As baby mules with good hearts Now past her prime – still fine Her mean old man owner plans to sell her bare bones To the glowing growing glue factory Though Molly is old – her ears tweak intelligence The Evergreen glue factory is a place for mules without sense As Molly twirls her tail toward Christmas She’ll be forty-three – December 25th Christmas Day Molly needs a savior for sure right away From the Evergreen glue factory floor To the light on Molly’s stall door She packed packages on her back for the Christmas Scene IN the night there was starlight in her left eye-green A manger angel offered to take Molly off the old mean man’s hands For dollars – forty-three - they agreed On December 25th they shook shaky hands To this day – Molly is very jolly In her stall is holy holly And the angel that bought her Brings her to the heavenly manger hay Every Christmas Day!
