The Newport Library congratulates 21-month-old Gideon, who is the newest finisher of the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. He is the eighth finisher from the Newport Library and the 21st finisher in the county. To sign up the child in your life for the program, stop by any Pend Oreille County library locations to get a welcome packet, which includes a tote bag, an age appropriate book to keep, a bookmark, and a reading log.
