Grab some science, win a prize

NEWPORT — Selkirk Alliance for Science activates its sixth annual Science Wiz Quiz to begin and continue with a new question each Monday throughout January.

The purpose is to unlock the wonder and mystery of Pend Oreille County and the surrounding region. Each question includes optional answers, and SAS permits searching the Internet for the correct one. Topics range from human health or behavior, plant or animal traits, land features, weather phenomena, deep space and science career or citizen participation.
