Lady Panthers start winning streak

CUSICK — The Cusick High School girls’ basketball team won four games in a row, breaking their five-game losing streak but keeping them at sixth in the Northeast 1B North league.

Tuesday, Jan. 20, Cusick (4-11, 2-10) visited Republic (15-1, 11-1), winning 55-50.

Cusick hosted Selkirk (12-7, 8-4) Thursday, Jan.

22 for the 2026 Battle for the Paddle, winning again

They won a third time 43-25 against Curlew (14-5,

9-4) Saturday, Jan. 24 at home.

Monday, Jan. 26, Cusick hosted St. John-Endicott

(1-13, 1-10), winning their fourth game 54-35.

The Northeast 1B North league tournament is from Friday, Jan. 30 to Saturday, Feb. 14.
