Supporters of the Newport School District’s upcoming bond and levy measures rallying on the sidewalks by the Big Wheel, Monday, Jan. 26 in Newport. Both measures — an Educational Programs and Operations levy renewed at an estimated rate of $1.45 per $1,000 in assessed property value, and a $46.3 million bond for improvements at Newport High School — are on the February election ballot. About five supporters attended the rally.
