Three classrooms down the science hall at Newport High School were flooded early Monday morning, Jan. 26 after a heat coil failed, the water pipe broke, and water poured into the classrooms and down the hall. Students attended class in other rooms Monday, but were back in the classrooms Tuesday after the water was removed, albeit without heat until a new heating coil arrives and is installed.
