NEWPORT – Youth Emergency Services (YES) of Pend Oreille County is advising people to be on the lookout for scam calls posing as the non-profit.
“We have had multiple calls this morning explaining that someone using our phone number has been calling around and stating that Walmart has overdrawn big amounts of money, and they need to get personal information to transfer the money back to them,” a notice said on the YES Facebook page on Tuesday, Feb. 10. “Do not give your bank account number or any personal information as this is a scam. If you think you have been scammed, please contact your financial institution.”
