Cutter Theatre provides plenty for all

METALINE FALLS — Check out these upcoming events and goings-on at the Cutter Theatre in Metaline Falls.

Music from Scotland and Ireland will be featured Saturday, March 21, with dinner starting at 6 p.m. for $7. The show will cost $10.

Dinner is creamy corned soup and soda bread with Guinness ice cream for dessert.

Then Donivan Johnson and friends will provide a Celtic evening of music and laughter.

Reservations are required for dinner by Monday, March 16.

Bingo will be at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, March 8. There are new prizes. Cost is $5 for lunch and $5 per card. This is a family-friendly event. Remember to spring ahead for daylight saving time.

Kristina Kiss has elected to step aside as Artscape director so she can focus on volunteer efforts at the Cutter, which she was not able to do as a paid employee.

She is excited about the Cutter’s new hire, Linnea Schell, who is a musician and art teacher with a background in running a nonprofit organization and teaching art classes to children.

Upcoming Artscape programs include: The World of Vincent Van Gogh, color theory, drawing, paint, craft Wednesday, March 4; Building Skills - view, shape, identification, acrylic paint, drawing, paint canvas Wednesday, March 11; Exploring Color - replica art, Van Gogh -color mixing, drawing, painting and multimedia Wednesday, March 18; Acrylic on canvas painting, Van Gogh coloring, drawing, paint and Easter craft Wednesday, March 25.

Pick up a registration in the Cutter office with more information.

Cost for Artscape is $8 for grades second through fifth, 3:30–5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Home school classes are available.

Call the office to sign up from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Wednesdays.

Two plays are planned for March by Selkirk schools at a nominal cost. The first, “Bigfoot,” is at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 13. The second, Cryptid Survival, is at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14.

The Cutter has a supply of Easter truffles available for sale. Pickup will be Friday, April 3. Cost is $12 per box. Reservations are due by Tuesday, March 24.

Echoes of Praise worship returns to the Cutter auditorium at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 29 for a free event. A soup supper for $5 will be served at 4 p.m. Reservations for the soup supper should be made by Monday, March 23.
