The Priest River Lamanna High wrestling team brought home two medals and a state record after competing at the annual All-Class State Championship at the Ford Center in Nampa, Feb. 27-28. In the 3A League competition, Tad McLaimtaig won fourth place in the 113-pound weight division, becoming the highest placing 3A freshman to compete at state. Justin Hopkins grappled his way to sixth place after one of his elbows was dislocated in the semi finals and had to do a medical forfeit on his last two matches. Priest River placed 20th as a team with an overall score of 33.5.
Spartan competitors included Justin Hopkins, 98 pounds, who won sixth place; Levi Holbrook, 98; Grady Caudill, 106; Mc-Laimtaig, 113, who won fourth; Bill Rapier, 144, and Haiden Leach, 157.
