NEWPORT – Last weekend saw several events at the non-profit Create Arts Center in Newport, from art classes for adults, scientific demonstrations via canine and a radio show. Local artists Doris Oscarson led a creative art exploration for adults Saturday, March 14, followed later in the afternoon by Wildlife Biologist Collette Yee explaining how to find rare or elusive animals with a trained search dog. Out of The Box Entertainment, a local traveling theatre troupe, brought their radio show to Create for a matinee performance Sunday, March 15.
