COVLILLE - Newport Little Guys Wrestlers had a busy weekend, heading to Colville on Saturday, March 21. The team took 34 wrestlers and another 13 wrestlers to West Valley, taking home a total of 48 pins, 25 medals and 31 placed in the top four between the two tournaments.
“The tournaments had an incredible turn out and every single one of these kids wrestled their absolute hearts out,” said coach Tyler Noordam. “It is such a privilege to be a coach with the Newport Wrestling Club, and getting to watch all of these kids continue to progress into the incredible athletes they are so far this season.”
The Little Guys travel to Mead Saturday, March 28 where wrestling starts at 9 a.m.
