MONDAY, MARCH 23

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: Northshore Diamond Lake Rd., Diamond Lake, report of mailboxes opened.

THEFT: Diamond View Rd. & Hwy. 211, Diamond Lake, report that mailbox was missing.

NON-INJURY COLLISION: W. Pine St., Newport, report that subject backed into complainant’s car.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: W. Wisconsin Ave., Ione, report that wallet was missing and complainant needed to talk to an officer.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: W. Wisconsin Ave., Ione, report that complainant found bullet hole inside his residence.

FIRE: LeClerc Rd. S., Usk, report of fire on side of roadway.

ANIMAL PROBLEM: Kings Lake Rd. & Skookum Creek Rd., Usk, report of dead house cat in green gym bag on northbound side of road.

TUESDAY, MARCH 24

CHILD ABUSE: Newport, report that complainant believed her 2-and-a-half-year-old child was getting abused by the child’s father.

ANIMAL CRUELTY: Skookum Meadow Dr., Newport, report of approximately 50 dogs, six cats and many more animals covered in plastic in RV.

SEX OFFENSE: Newport ARREST: Hwy. 2, Newport, Richard Douglas Smith, 54, of Newport was arrested for attempting to elude and driving without required interlock.

ARREST: Hwy. 2, Christopher Grant Freeman, 31, of Newport was arrested for malicious mischief third-degree domestic violence.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25

ARREST: W. Walnut St., Newport, Darren D. Dunn, 58, was arrested for driving under the influence.

ARREST: Hwy. 2, Ben Deboer, 34, of Spokane was arrested for driving under the influence.

HARASSMENT: Coyote Trail, report that ex was following complainant in a white Chevy 1-ton dually with ID plates.

THURSDAY, MARCH 26

WEAPON OFFENSE: Hwy. 20, Newport, report that someone shot at county drone complainant was flying to survey property.

ARREST: Sullivan Lake Rd., Ione, Jacob Robert Arman, 24, of Ione was arrested after complainant saw him with rifle and knife beside her residence.

ANIMAL PROBLEM: Moonlight Lane, Newport, report of two dogs on complainant’s property that day.

THEFT: Lillijard Rd., Newport, report that subject stole birdbath from garden on Wednesday.

FRIDAY, MARCH 27

SMOKE: Mallard Marsh, report that complainant could see fire from Diamond Lake area.

ANIMAL PROBLEM: Northshore Diamond Lake Rd., Diamond Lake, report of large brown dog charging at cars for couple of days.

SMOKE: Spooner Lane, Newport, report that complainant could see a lot of settled smoke.

TRESPASSING: Spring Hill Rd., Newport, report that someone was squatting on property.

TRESPASSING: Main St., report that complainant wanted subject trespassed.

VIOLATION OF ORDER: Beryl Court, Newport, report of violation of order by posting on social media.

BOATING PROBLEM: Diamond Lake, report of fisherperson stuck in middle of lake; his battery
